Jesus Name Collage
Today we read Matthew 1:18-25 and talked about the name Jesus. Jesus means "God saves" and Immanuel means "God with us." The very meaning of his name shows why he came to earth - to be with us and to save us! We found letters in a magazine that spelled the name JESUS and placed these in the middle of a craft stick. We then looked for other names of people and placed those around Jesus' name on the craft stick. It serves as a reminder that Jesus came to live among us and to save us. One activity you can do on this day is look up the meaning of your children's names. Then talk about the meaning and see if that gives an idea of something good they can do with their lives!
