WORD FOR THE WEEK

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon - from Mount
Mizer.
Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
Psalm 42:5-7

Feeling sad, down, and depressed? You're human. Let's take a lesson from scripture about what to do when we feel that way:

1) Recognize that God is sovereign.

2) Go to God and put your hope in Him.

3) Praise Him...even in the sadness and difficulty.

4) Remember His goodness and deliverance in your life in times past.
