This verse has taken on a whole new meaning now that I am reading it during Advent.
I am looking at it through the lens of eager anticipation...waiting expectantly...just as those in Old Testament times eagerly anticipated the promised Messiah.
This verse reminds me to eagerly wait for God to answer my prayers.
To expect him to answer them.
To wonder how he will amaze me with his answer.
To be watchful for that answer because God has promised he will answer me.
And God ALWAYS does what he promises.
