So often, we find ourselves focusing on the last part of this verse. Sometimes, we even use this verse to bargain with God. We expect Him to give us what we want. But think about it. Would it be good for our own children if we gave them everything they wanted? Of course not! So rather than focusing on only the end of this verse, this week, let's concentrate on delighting in the Lord. Let's spend time with Him, listen to Him, talk to Him, ask His opinion about everything we do, aim to please Him, find out what pleases Him by reading His Word. Chances are...the desires of our heart will then line up with the desires He has for us.
