VALENTINE'S DAY IDEAS

Valentine's Day is coming soon.  It's always fun to do special things and create memories for our family this time of year.

CRAFTS
1.  This first idea is mainly for the picture.  It would be so easy to do with paper cutouts or foil covered chocolate hearts or even conversation hearts.  But for those of you who want to sew, here's the link. http://alphamom.com/family-fun/holidays/valentine-craft-tic-tac-toe-hearts/

2.  What a great idea for affirming children!  You put these hearts on their door after they go to bed. http://www.skiptomylou.org/2007/02/13/heart-attack/

3.  This is a school bulletin board but could certainly be something you might adapt for using as a focal point in your home to teach your children that God is love.

4.  This garland, hanging in a prominent place, is a reminder that God loved us first.  http://www.incourage.me/2012/02/he-first-loved-us.html

FOODS
1.  Most kids like Jell-o.  Here's an idea, or you could certainly adapt it to two different flavors.  http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/eat-your-heart-out-825209/

TABLE CENTERPIECES
1.  Just buy 2 vases - one that's clear and big enough to hold another small vase.  Fill the smaller one with water and a bunch of carnations.  Place inside the larger vase.  Fill up the space between the vases with red pistachios, red hots, or conversation hearts.

2.  How easy is this! It's just a wine glass turned upside down over a rose with a candle on top!

CARDS MADE WITH LOVE
1.  A card you could make for your special someone or your children - http://bethproudfoot.blogspot.com/2012/01/youre-out-of-this-world.html

3.  This is an idea you could go wild with...adapt it any way you like.  http://papervinenz.blogspot.com/2011/02/hi-everyone-this-is-last-of-my.html
